Congratulations for wanting to stop smoking! It’s one of the best things you can do for your health. For most people, quitting smoking is never easy, but there are ways that you can maximize your ability to quit for good. Over the past four years in Newfoundland, Action Laser has continued to grow and change in order to meet the needs of our clients. Although worldwide, the company has been in operation for more than two decades with clinics in: The first Canadian clinic opened in Toronto. Thereafter I, Newfoundland native Peter Anstey then acquired the rights to what I knew was a proven method, having benefited from the procedure myself, now 8 years ago. Newfoundland since has clinics in each of Mount Pearl, Bay Roberts, Gander and Corner Brook.
Patients are asked a number of questions regarding their medical condition, smoking habits and their determination to quit. After that, in the actual treatment, lasers are used to stimulate various points on the head, hand and ears. Clients are provided with ways to change habits that could lead to a return to smoking and issued Vitamin C to aid in flushing nicotine from the body. They are also given follow-up calls to check on their progress and are offered two free “booster” sessions over the next 60 days, which can be utilized at any Action Laser office in Canada. These sessions may reinforce the break with nicotine addiction or may also work to alleviate problems related to anxiety and depression, weight control, or a number of other conditions that the laser treatments are effective in treating. Q: Is it safe? Q: Is laser therapy painful? Q: Will I gain weight when I quit smoking? The benefits to one’s health after successfully quitting the habit of smoking are clearly immense.
